Whether a person or couple is Native American or appreciates Native American traditions, the ceremony is designed around specific or generic Indian customs and is held in spiritual spaces and at historic landmark Indian monuments.
Ceremonies are conducted in or outside of teepees. Many at campfires. Smudging is performed for purification. Corn meal and the six direction colors are also utilized. Blankets are worn as symbols of union and the double sided wedding vase to drink from to seal the wedding vows. Poetry is also read. These ceremonies also include aspects of the semi and/or non tradition service. Each couple may have a different request and all is honored.
